Lifetech Resources Unveils Next-Gen Solar Power System For A Greener Future - SolarQuarter

Feb 24, 2025

On Tuesday, January 21, Lifetech Resources hosted the unveiling of its new Solar Power Energy System at its headquarters, located at 700 Science Dr, Moorpark, CA. This initiative represents a major milestone in the company’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The event brought together community members, stakeholders, and media representatives to celebrate Lifetech’s progress toward reducing its carbon footprint and embracing renewable energy.

The newly installed Solar Power Energy System consists of 1,090 high-efficiency monocrystalline solar panels with a total capacity of 599.5 kW. This system is expected to generate 948,465 kWh of clean energy each year, significantly reducing the company’s reliance on traditional energy sources. By offsetting 7,918.56 tons of CO2 emissions annually, the system’s impact is equivalent to removing 42 cars from the road or conserving 18,330 barrels of oil every year.

The event featured an opening speech by Chairwoman Janet Carieri, who emphasized the importance of Lifetech’s transition to renewable energy. CEO Shaffiq Rahim provided an overview of the solar project, detailing its expected benefits and the company’s long-term sustainability goals. A ribbon-cutting ceremony followed, symbolizing the official launch of the solar energy system. Several local dignitaries attended the event, recognizing Lifetech’s contributions to environmental sustainability. Among them were representatives from Senator Henry Stern’s office and Moorpark Mayor Chris Enegren. The company received multiple certificates of recognition for its efforts.

Janice S. Parvin, Chair of the Board of Supervisors for the 4th District, presented a Certificate of Appreciation in acknowledgment of Lifetech’s dedication to sustainability. Congresswoman Julia Brownley, representing the U.S. House of Representatives, awarded a Certificate of Congressional Recognition, highlighting the company’s role in innovative product development and sustainable manufacturing. The City Council of Moorpark, including Mayor Chris Enegren and Council Members Chris Barrett, Renee Delgado, Dr. Antonio Castro, and Tom Means, presented a Certificate of Recognition to commend Lifetech’s commitment to environmental responsibility. Senator Henry Stern’s office also presented a Certificate of Recognition, further acknowledging the company’s contributions to sustainability.

Shaffiq Rahim, CEO of Lifetech Resources, mentioned “This event was an incredible success. It was inspiring to see so many individuals come together to celebrate our shared commitment to renewable energy. The unveiling of this system reflects our optimism for the future and reaffirms our dedication to creating a cleaner, more sustainable environment for our employees, community, and beyond.”

Attendees had the opportunity to network and enjoy refreshments while celebrating this important achievement. The launch of this solar power system marks the first major initiative led by Lifetech’s newly established Sustainability Committee, which aims to develop and implement innovative solutions to reduce the company’s environmental impact and support global renewable energy efforts.
